Job Description

We are currently hiring a Integrated Communications Manager for Dogfish Head in Milton, DE.

The Integrated Communications Manager sits in the intersection of Integrated Marketing, Media, and Culture & Consumer Insights. This role helps with the development of the integrated marketing plan. They will lead internal creative and content development and execution for ongoing brand and product marketing campaigns, partnering with creative services and/or agency partners as necessary. They will also partner with the divisional marketing teams and the LB&T team to ensure local needs are being met. This role will work closely with the consumer insights team to ensure we're constantly monitoring, evolving and growing our brand. Given the focus on developing content in and around the DFH properties, this role will be based in Milton, DE.

*A Hybrid position at Boston Beer requires that our coworkers reside within commuting distance to be onsite according to their teams' weekly schedule.

What You'll Brew:



  • Oversee the day-to-day integrated communications activities for all facets of Dogfish Head - beer, cocktails, spirits and four hospitality locations
  • Assist in the development of the integrated marketing plan for Dogfish Head Beer & Cocktails
  • Help develop & execute cross-platform content strategy (paid & organic),
  • Act as lead PR point of contact
  • Liaison for key partnerships, both internally and externally
  • Lead influencer programs and the digital team to drive creative, cohesive communication campaigns that resonate with drinkers across all communication touchpoints (paid, organic, earned),
  • Regularly partner with insights teams to track and measure brand awareness, perception and positioning
  • Partner with media team to develop media plans that achieve business & marketing KPIs
  • Keep pulse on competitive set, opportunities and threats to the brand's category positioning and marketing efforts
  • Collaborate with product & portfolio team as well as marketing activation to ensure brand standards and integrated strategies are being met
  • Lead efforts across our web team and connected commerce teams to ensure consistency across our digital footprint, while identifying optimization opportunities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners in LB&T (Local Brands & Taprooms) to support social strategies and overall digital efforts for hospitality channels
  • Ad hoc projects as requested
  • Serve as active member of core marketing team that develops annual operating plan and longer-term brand strategy

What Ingredients You'll Bring:

Minimum Qualifications:



  • 4+ years advertising or marketing experience & managing large portfolio brands
  • Proven experience managing cross-functional teams and complex organizations to deliver results
  • Strong track record managing creative campaigns - Must have hands on mixed-media experience
  • Strong presentation skills & capabilities
  • Self-Starter: Comfortable acting without significant direction, but also confident engaging leadership at key points to gain alignment and assistance where needed
  • Project Management: Very strong project management skills - able to keep multiple lines of work progressing so that tactics are delivered with world class quality, on time, on budget
  • Flexible and Unflappable: Agile, able to flex to stakeholder needs/input as well as the ability to deal with ambiguity and very fast-paced need for speed to market


Preferred Qualifications:



  • 5+ years marketing, insights and analytical experience
  • Indirect / direct people management experience in matrixed organizations
  • Brand building experience / Multicultural marketing / Customer marketing


Level: 5

At the Boston Beer Company and in accordance with pay transparency laws, we are open about our salary ranges. For this role, the salary range is between $100,000-$159,900. However, it's important to note that where the person hired starts in this range is dependent on their related experience, skillset and location. Additionally, this position qualifies for a discretionary annual bonus based on company and individual performance, and certain sales roles might include a car allowance.
