Travel Business Development Consultant- The Auto Club Group

Reports to: Director Travel Innovation & Business Development

What you will do:

Responsible to enhance travel campaign performance through day-to-day management and assessment, engaging cross-functional teams, communicating areas of focus to drive business based on cycle times, assessing and outlining areas of opportunity to increase lead conversion to sales, effectively grow campaigns, develop promotional narratives that increase consumer engagement, serve as a bridge between product, sales, and promotions to create synergies around campaign utilization and success metrics. Responsibilities may include:

Sales Growth:

  • Oversee day-to-day travel campaign performance to activate lead and opportunity campaigns to maximize sales growth.
  • Creates and communicates campaign cycle times to clarify and set expectations on how to effectively work campaigns.
  • Serves as a bridge between sales, product, and promotions to ensure full-funnel capabilities and integration of campaign management.
  • Partners on the development of digital engagement narratives to engage consumers, elevate Travel's value proposition, and grow campaign results.
  • Optimize the sales funnel by identifying key moments in the buyer journey where storytelling or enhanced content can increase engagement and conversion.
  • Support Customer Satisfaction and retention improvement efforts through regular engagement with sales and product leaders on action plans.
  • Partners cross-functionally on ways to leverage campaigns in support of product growth strategies.
  • Assess Travel's digital channels (e.g., AAA.com, Virtual Channel) to surface areas of opportunity to capture consumer engagement, increase booking closure rates, and grow campaign results.
  • Assess and provide recommendations to increase traveler engagement with the purchase funnel to drive success and grow sales conversion.
  • Leverage insights from research, customer satisfaction scores, CRM results, retention, and segmentation metrics as input to the development of sales strategies.
  • Develops and shares timely campaign reports to address progress, areas of opportunity and improvement.
  • Assess and analyze campaign trends to drive growth, engagement, and sales.
  • Create detailed reporting and analyses with recommendations for sales growth and strategy improvement across the ACG footprint.
  • Creates communication templates to steward ACG performance reviews with partners.
  • Steward communication with travel sales leadership and product managers on key lead and opportunity campaigns, including facilitation of ongoing cross-functional discussions of performance and upcoming areas of focus.
  • Champions campaign communications to engage travel sales leaders and travel agents to drive focused efforts that increase sales results.
  • Develop and hosts workshops for sales teams to maximize campaign growth opportunities.
  • Identifies and communicates agent spotlights and celebration announcements for top campaign performance and utilization.
  • Synthesizes and communicates key insights, analyses, and recommendations on improvements to the traveler and member sales funnel to support future-year strategies.

Innovation & Business Development:

  • Supports travel technology innovations such as the use of AI to grow Travel business.
  • Work with various departments and business partners in support of operations, strategy, and special project needs.
  • Work cross-functionally to assist in the development and implementation of penetration and growth strategies.
  • Assist with initiatives to grow agent proficiency with technology to grow digital business.
  • Provides support for travel innovations as requested.
  • Provides cost-effective, innovative solutions to enhance agency workflow, policies, procedures, digital usage, and communications.

Education (include minimum education and any licensing/certifications):

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications or related field

Experience:

  • Project and program management
  • Promotions and/or sales campaigns, marketing, and strategy
  • Trend analysis
  • Customer and/or partner relations

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Communication, marketing, and/or promotions
  • Company products and services
  • Campaign funnels

Skillset:

  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
  • Exceptional communication skills - both verbal and written
  • Campaigns and promotion analysis
  • Analytical mindset
  • Partner relations

Ability to:

  • Engage cross-functional teams to create alignment and synergy around goals
  • Analyze results and provide concise analysis of data with strategy recommendations
  • Identify areas of inefficiency and provide recommendations to streamline processes
  • Prepare and deliver effective presentations both internally and externally
  • Develop and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Identify potential growth opportunities and implications to the business operation
  • Effectively manage programs and initiatives with minimal oversight in a remote environment
