AMSOIL is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Regulatory Compliance Specialist. This role's primary responsibility is to ensure regulatory compliance of AMSOIL and affiliated products. These responsibilities include registrations, labeling and safety data sheets (SDS) compliance, identification of relevant regulations, establishment and management of the necessary systems, and providing training to ensure legal compliance as required for local, state, federal and international laws.
This position reports on-site in Superior, Wisconsin.


Core Responsibilities:



  • Administration and Maintenance of Corporate Safety Data Sheet (SDS) Program:

    • Act as a liaison between the SDS Contractor and applicable AMSOIL teams for SDS and label development
    • Maintain consistent SDS language standards across all AMSOIL SDS documentation
    • Work within the SDS authorizing software to generate new and updated SDS label documents, providing maintenance as required
    • Ensure regulatory compliance with all OSHA, EPA, and DOT standards on SDS documents
    • Ensure a compliant and manageable system is in place to provide SDS Push Services for AMSOIL Customers in compliance with OSHA Hazcom laws


  • Administration of Label Compliance:

    • Collaborate with SDS Contractor for Customer & Industrial compliance review
    • Ensure a library is maintained for label language, terms, and statements
    • Maintain a database and records for all labeling decisions
    • Develop compliant Industrial Labels for Production of AMSOIL products based on compliance reviews
    • Collaborate with Product Managers and Graphics team to review, update, and develop compliant customer content, signing off on all new and updated labels
    • Maintain NICE Label standards for consistent application on all Compliance development activities
    • Ensure all labels are compliant with labeling laws within the market in which they are sold (REACH, CLP and other country and state requirements)


  • Compliance Resource:

    • Provide compliance-level training and support throughout the organization on regulatory requirements such as: GHS, CLP, REACH and K-REACH
    • Oversee annual REACH and K-REACH tonnage reporting
    • Oversee development of compliant DRC (Declaration of Reach Conformity) documents as requested
    • Actively attend external trainings and engaging with applicable organizations to maintain awareness with compliance requirement changes
    • Understand, implement and update all necessary regulatory and compliance requirements to successfully sell AMSOIL products domestically and internationally


  • Position Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Industrial Management, Environmental Science or related field
    • 2+ years of compliance-related work experience
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Keen attention to detail
    • Ability to present ideas and concepts professionally with user-friendly language
    • Self-motivated to obtain information and expand personal knowledge
    • Ability to operate collaborative environment across cross-functional teams
    • Or equivalent combination of education and experience for the essential functions of the job




  • Preferred Qualifications

    • SDS and Consumer Labeling authoring experience
    • A working understanding of chemistry

    • Pay type - Salary

    • Pay Rang -$54,700 to $64,400 annually Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location
