Our Team

Koch Engineered Solutions (KES) is seeking a Construction Engineering Business Analyst Intern to support our team at Optimized Process Designs in Katy, TX.

This role will be a part of a larger product team who partners closely with KES to deliver on a technology roadmap that transforms a work process. The intern will work closely with various IT and business teams to support and enhance our business systems and processes.

What You Will Do in Your Role

  • Partner across the business, different IT teams, and the businesses to configure technology which enables work processes.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of end-to-end business processes and their impact on organizational goals.
  • Partner with the business to capture, analyze and document functional requirements to provide to other IT capabilities
  • Assist in creating detailed process maps to document current business processes and workflows within the organization.
  • Work to evaluate process efficiency and recommend enhancements for improved performance and productivity.
  • Coordinate the execution of project deliverables by other IT capabilities to help ensure projects are delivered on time
  • Continue to quickly learn new systems and products based on business needs
  • Contribute to the identification of process bottlenecks and inefficiencies and assist in developing solutions to streamline operations.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in a degree or alternative program related to one of the following areas: Construction Engineering, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Project Management (with a focus on construction), Construction Technology, or a related degree field
  • Eligible for full-time employment by August 2027
  • Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Initiative, natural curiosity, strong communication skills, and an aptitude for fast-paced learning
  • Strong understanding of construction engineering concepts
  • Experience with Autodesk or Hexagon Suite
