The lab utilizes a broad spectrum of molecular and cellular biology methods to answer our research questions. We use multiple mouse models, flow cytometry, CRISPR-derived technology for functional studies, next generation high throughput sequencing for 'omics' analysis and various other approaches and methods based on the need of the research projects. The successful applicant will support and actively take part in ongoing research projects, and will have the opportunity to learn from the excellent and active academic research environment at UCSF as a whole. The candidate will be expected to assist with managing day-to-day laboratory operations, including ordering, mouse colony maintenance, laboratory organization, maintenance and inspection. We are seeking at least a 1-year commitment, but 2-year timeline is preferred. This is an in-person position at the UCSF Parnassus campus. The position is well suited for candidates who are looking for additional experience in a biomedical research laboratory before pursuing graduate school.
