We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive AR Follow Up Specialist to join our team on a hybrid basis, working onsite one day per week. In this role, you will be responsible for managing rejected, denied, and outstanding insurance claims, ensuring accuracy and compliance throughout the billing and collections process. Your work will directly impact our revenue cycle performance and contribute to the overall efficiency of our operations.
*Key Responsibilities:* * Perform accounts receivable collections and follow-ups to expedite insurance payments for assigned claims. * Contact insurance companies via phone, mail, or clearinghouse correspondence to resolve account inquiries and update claim information. * Communicate claim-related issues regarding patient benefits to the verification team and field staff for timely resolution. * Collaborate with third-party payers to resolve processing issues, enhance communication, and stay informed on changes to plan requirements. * Assist in refining policies and procedures to improve third-party carrier operations; provide updates to the Billing Supervisor as needed. * Prepare and support monthly reporting efforts, focusing on key performance indicators such as Days Sales Outstanding (DSO), payer issues, and unit performance. * Process appeals by gathering necessary documentation, resubmitting claims, and following up to ensure resolution. * Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and CMS guidelines in all communications and documentation. *Qualifications:* * Prior experience in medical billing, collections, or revenue cycle management preferred. * Strong understanding of insurance claims processes, including denials, appeals, and credentialing. * Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. * Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment. * Familiarity with HIPAA and CMS regulations. *Experience Level* Intermediate Level *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $27.00/hr.
