Description

The Department of Sociology at The University of Texas at Austin invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level in the area of aging to begin Fall of academic year 2026-27. Duties include undergraduate and graduate teaching, including in the Health & Society program, participation in the Center on Aging & Population Sciences, supporting research, programs, and collaborative projects that drive innovation in research on aging, and service to the department, college, and university.

Qualifications

Applicants must have completed all the requirements for the PhD by time of appointment, or they must expect to obtain the PhD within a year of joining the faculty as Instructor.

Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications. Position funding is subject to budget availability.
