Position Summary:
The Research Analyst will conduct experiments
on contamination in soils for projects led by the CNR and assist the Director
of the CNR in the implementation.

Essential Functions:
-Conduct experiments on contamination in soils.
-Assist in investigations of flooding.
-Provide weekly progress reports to Dr. Boufadel.
-Performs other related duties as assigned or requested by the Center Director.

Prerequisite Qualifications:
-PhD graduate or ongoing in Civil, Environmental Engineering or related field.
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
-Ability to work independently from the Center Director, and to communicate effectively using emails.
-Effective communication and writing skills.
-At the university's discretion, the education and experience prerequisites may be exempted where the candidate can demonstrate to the satisfaction of the university, an equivalent combination of education and experience specifically preparing the candidate for success in the position.

Preferred Qualifications:
-Experience
with project management.

Salary Information:
In compliance with the NJ Pay Transparency Law, the hourly range for this position is $25.00-$30.00 (USD). NJIT considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses or other items.
