Principal Instructional System Designer

The Principal Instructional System Designerrole is the most senior Instructional Systems Designer (ISD). The Principal ISD performs as the thought leader within Kratos Training Solutions (KTS) for how to design the most effective and efficient learning solutions possible within the constraints of the customer resources and policy/guidance. This includes all activities from Front-End Analysis to Assessment and implementation. The Principal ISD designs and implements the processes and helps inform the toolset that the KTS team utilizes to build learning solutions and performance support content. Implements and follows a systematic design and development process for effective and efficient learning materials. The Principal ISD selects instructional media, materials, and equipment to meet learning objectives. Plans, supervises, and accomplishes production of instructional materials and evaluates learning using formative and summative evaluation techniques.

• Perform as the Lead ISD across the KTS Business Unit.
• Lead and manage a team of ISD across multiple projects.
• Design and implement the KTS ISD technical approach, technique, and style
• Perform as a Solution Architect in the B&P process to design the technical approach to designing learning outcomes and articulating them in the proposal.
• Perform Business Development, Capture Management, and Proposal Management as required.
• Perform customer management, program and project management oversight.

• Analyzed technical information and work with Subject Matter Experts to develop a variety of training products and performance support tools to deliver packages of information that are easily understood by adult learners
• Maintenance of sensitive and confidential information as required by government standards
• Interact effectively with peers and supervisors
• Interact appropriately with the public when necessary
• Implementation and execution of the PADDIE process
• Able to evaluate RFP/Qis
• Develop a technical approach
• Write proposals
• Estimate level of effort to complete work
• Assess performance and counsel personnel
• Manage a multi-faceted, distributed, and matrixed team of ISDis
• Use basic office production software tools
• To work at this facility, you must be a US person
