About the Hiring Group

The Senior Human Resources Operations Specialist will build upon existing expertise to take the lead on critical Human Resources (HR) projects, provide mentorship to junior team members, and ensure seamless HR operations across the organization. Strategic thinking, in-depth knowledge of immigration laws, and ability to handle complex cases are essential in driving efficiency and compliance in HR processes.


What You'll Do

  • Responsible for managing the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding and offboarding activities.
  • Oversees leave of absence and ADA management, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Manage the HRIS (ADP) system.
  • Handle first line management of disciplinary actions, and conduct involuntary separations with professionalism and sensitivity.
  • Educate and support employees, managers, and HR personnel on DCS HR processes and procedures.
  • Act as the main HR point of contact (POC) for home office, regional, and field HR in areas related to operations and compliance. Lead capacity-building initiatives for employees, managers, and DCS staff in compliance and HR operations.
  • Research labor laws to ensure compliance in work arrangements and leave policies.
  • Manage Employment Agreement templates ensuring standardization and compliant documentation. Collaborate with legal counsel and HR Operations and Compliance professional to publish high-quality employee handbooks.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to HR Operations Specialists, supporting their professional development and growth within the organization.
  • Lead and manage special projects related to HR compliance and process improvement, driving cross-functional collaboration and successful outcomes.
  • Provide backup support and assistance to HR Operations Specialists, ensuring continuity and efficiency in HR processes during periods of high workload, absences, or when additional support is required.
  • Collaborate with the HR Operations team to address any urgent HR-related matters and maintain seamless operations across all HR functions.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience in a relevant field (e.g., Human Resources, Business, or a related field), or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency in ADP system.
  • Experience working in a high-volume remote contingent workforce.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proactive approach to identify opportunities for process improvement and compliance enhancement.
  • Experience in communicating HR programs and policies through various channels.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.

Our pay ranges represent national averages and may vary by location as a geographic differential may be applied to some locations within the United States.
