Southern New Hampshire University is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Multi-Media Assistant for the Center for the Arts NH to help grow our presence on Youtube, Spotify, and similar platforms through video and podcast formats. The ideal candidate is a storyteller, understands platform trends, voice, and audience engagement. They also have some experience using video editing software or podcast/audio software. Responsibilities include editing video, adding music, creating video shorts, editing podcast, posting podcasts, and tracking performance metrics to increase visibility and interaction across platforms. Experience or interest in increasing podcast listens is a plus. This role offers hands-on experience in mission-driven digital marketing, community engagement, and creative storytelling.

Responsibilities:
  • Edit videos for YouTube and other platforms, adding music and graphics when appropriate

  • Create video shorts/reels for social media to increase engagement

  • Edit and produce podcasts, ensuring clean audio and consistent formatting

  • Upload and schedule podcast episodes and videos across platforms

  • Assist in developing a consistent brand voice and style across media channels

  • Track performance metrics (views, listens, engagement) and share insights for growth

  • Research and apply current trends in video, audio, and digital storytelling

  • Support the team with creative input on new multimedia projects

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Current Enrollment at SNHU with an interest in digital media, communications, or marketing

  • Work-Study as part of the financial aid package

  • Strong interest in storytelling, audience engagement, and creative content creation

  • Familiarity with basic video editing software (e.g., iMovie, Adobe Premiere Rush, CapCut, or similar)

  • Familiarity with audio/podcast editing software (e.g., Audacity, GarageBand, Adobe Audition, or similar)

  • Ability to manage time, meet deadlines, and pay close attention to detail

  • Willingness to learn, take feedback, and explore new tools or platforms

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Enthusiasm for the arts, community engagement, or nonprofit work

Compensation

The hourly pay range for this position is $12.00 - $15.00. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations.
