Suburban Hospital is a 228-bed, Level II Trauma Center, and a community-based hospital in Bethesda, Maryland. Suburban Hospital is a member of Johns Hopkins Medicine and has served Montgomery County and the surrounding area for more than 65 years. The designated trauma center for Montgomery County, Suburban Hospital is fully accredited by the Joint Commission and has earned ANCC Magnet Recognition for nursing excellence. Suburban Hospital provides an array of comprehensive behavioral health services for individuals with emotional problems, mental illness and substance use disorders, as well as services designed to foster mental health. An Advanced Practice Provider (APP) provides all aspects of patient care management at Suburban Hospital. The APP performs a variety of functions within the scope of practice of Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants. This role serves as a liaison for all disciplines and services interfacing with the individual department. The NP/PA will be credentialed according to the medical staff regulation of SMH with consultation and collaboration from the appropriately credentialed supervisory attending physician(s). Education:
