The marketing team plays a key strategic role in the success of delivering business results and superior customer experiences, and we are looking for a Social Media & Events Coordinator to join our team.

The Social Media & Events Coordinator will maintain and grow Carolina Cat and related businesses social networks and engagement and manage customer-facing events from planning to execution. This role will partner with teams across the business, telling the stories of our people, community impact and service to our customers in a meaningful and engaging way. This role will be responsible for regularly maintaining a social and events calendar for all primary and corporate brands while also developing social campaigns that align with business objectives.

The ideal candidate is a creative individual who loves experimenting with visual story-telling on Tik Tok, Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn. The ideal candidate would be willing to travel across our territory to partner with various branches and teams to host customer events and curate compelling content that captures the culture of our business, while impacting our business goals.

Essential Functions including the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Strategic Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with marketing team and business stakeholders to produce relevant social content, campaigns, and experiences that meet the needs of both key stakeholders and our audience
  • Coordinate with and travel to various departments and locations across the business to curate content to showcase our people and culture across our branded social channels
  • Maintain social publication calendar for all primary brands across all channels
  • Own and maintain evolution of social guidelines for all primary and corporate brands
  • Partner with digital marketing team to develop and manage an online review strategy across our social and online channels.
  • In partnership with business stakeholders, develop event concepts, create timelines, manage budgets, coordinate logistics, and report ROI for customer-facing events.

Creative & Technical Responsibilities

  • Responsible for writing, designing and scheduling organic social posts across our channels for the primary and corporate brands using Hootsuite
  • Responsible for creating video content and posts to use for social stories and Tik Tok, highlighting our culture and supporting ongoing business objectives
  • Own vendor relationship with Hootsuite to manage contract, user licenses, etc.
  • Monitor social inbox and direct messages, responding to customer inquiries and partner with lead management specialist to add leads into CRM.
  • Monitor social activity regularly for sentiment and crisis management, following Weisiger Group and Carolina Cat crisis management protocols to address negative sentiment and situations as they arise.
  • Execute LIVE social broadcasts during relevant events across the business.

Analytical Responsibilities

  • Provide timely, in-depth analysis on social performance on all primary and corporate brands relative to ROI targets, recommending pivots and improvements where needed.
  • Monitor sentiment across all social accounts, listening for behavioral themes / trends while serving insights to the marketing team to influence pivots and optimizations in marketing strategies.
  • Prepare reports on event success, identifying areas for improvement, and providing recommendations for future events.

Continuous Learning

  • Stay current with ever-changing social landscape, keeping up with trending topics, enhancements and new channels introduced to the market to understand where and how we should be present and engage with the community.
  • Maintain knowledge of graphic and social trends, developments, and best user-centered practices.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor's or Associates Degree in Marketing, Communications or related discipline required
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in social media management
  • Experience creating Tik Toks required and must understand how to leverage Tik Tok's ever-changing algorithm to stay on trend
  • Strong design skills with proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite or Canva to create digital assets for social publication
  • Knowledge of social publishing tools including Hootsuite, SproutSocial, Meltwater, etc.
  • Superior communication skills, written and verbal
  • Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, IT, Legal and HR
  • Analytical skills to report KPIs and identify trends and challenges
  • A high level of attention to detail and good organizational skills
  • Able to interpret business needs into social marketing opportunities
  • Must be passionate about storytelling and demonstrate a willingness to stay up to date with an ever-changing list of best practices, new technologies and new ideas
  • Show proficiency and organization in managing several projects at once, as well as timeline, vendor, and client management.

Computer Skills

Successful candidate will be proficient in Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suites (InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator). Experience working in social management platforms (Hootsuite) preferred. Prior experience using CRM tools (Salesforce) and marketing automation platforms (Salesforce Marketing Cloud) a plus but not required.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
