Overview:

Are you detail-oriented, self-motivated, and looking for a role that offers deep exposure to life insurance operations and cross-functional collaboration? Join our Customer Operations team as a Senior Representative, where you'll play a critical role in supporting claims processing, legal documentation review, and beneficiary tracking. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a structured, queue-based environment and enjoys solving complex administrative challenges with precision and care.

You'll be part of a small, high-performing team that values autonomy, reliability, and continuous learning. This role offers strong networking potential across support services and claims teams.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Claims Briefs: Compile, distribute, and complete claim briefs based on death notifications, coordinating with internal teams to gather contract data.

  • Beneficiary Research: Investigate and verify beneficiary information for self-administered claims using internal systems.

  • Legal Documentation Review: Process and validate transfer of ownership and power of attorney documents, ensuring compliance with state-specific legal standards.

  • Accounting Support: Assist with claims voucher entries to ensure accurate fund transfers and offsets.

  • Miscellaneous Processes: Participate in weekly and quarterly operational tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Strong attention to detail and focus.

  • Self-motivated and reliable.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Comfortable working independently in a queue-based environment.

  • Open to training; no prior life insurance experience required.

  • Ability to work with legal documents and conduct state-level compliance research.

  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Our policy allows flexibility for the reality of business and personal schedules.

The estimated base pay range for this job is:

$18.27 - $31.73

Pay may vary depending on job-related factors and individual experience, skills, knowledge, etc. More information on base pay and incentive pay (if applicable) can be discussed with a member of the Securian Financial Talent Acquisition team.
