Position Title: Lead TIG Welder
Wage: $30.00 - $32.00/hour Shift: 1st Hours: 6:00am - 2:30pm We are seeking a highly skilled Lead TIG Welder with expertise in stainless steel tube/pipe welding for pharmaceutical-grade equipment. This role will lead a small welding team, ensure quality workmanship, and maintain production efficiency while adhering to stringent sanitary and regulatory standards. Lead TIG Welder Responsibilities: - Lead, train, and mentor a team of TIG welders and fabricators - Perform precision TIG welding on stainless steel tube and pipe to meet sanitary requirements - Set up, operate, and troubleshoot orbital welding equipment - Interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding specifications - Inspect welds to ensure compliance with ASME BPE and customer requirements - Coordinate with production management to meet project deadlines - Uphold safety and quality standards throughout fabrication processes Requirements for Lead TIG Welder: - At least five years of TIG welding experience on stainless steel, with at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role - Experience with pharmaceutical-grade fabrication or sanitary process piping strongly preferred - Proficiency in orbital welding equipment setup and operation - Strong ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings - Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills - Commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
