As the Manager, Procurement - Warehousing, you will oversee sourcing, negotiations, and contract management for warehouse-related goods and services. This includes equipment, storage solutions, facility supplies, and third-party warehousing providers. You'll ensure procurement decisions support operational efficiency, cost-effectiveness, safety standards, and inventory goals while maintaining strong vendor relationships and cross-functional alignment.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Drive Procurement Strategy: Develop and implement sourcing strategies for warehousing equipment, supplies, and third-party services.

  • Manage Vendor Partnerships: Negotiate contracts and maintain relationships for racking systems, forklifts, packaging, and MRO items.

  • Align with Operational Goals: Collaborate with warehouse, safety, and maintenance teams to forecast needs and support business objectives.

  • Ensure Supplier Accountability: Monitor vendor performance and enforce compliance with SLAs, safety standards, and delivery schedules.

  • Analyze Spend & Optimize Costs: Review procurement data to identify cost-saving opportunities, streamline processes, and consolidate suppliers.

  • Support Capital Projects: Contribute to warehouse expansions, automation initiatives, and facility layout redesigns through strategic sourcing.

  • Ensure Policy Compliance: Maintain adherence to internal procurement guidelines and regulatory requirements.

  • Leadership: Drives a positive employee experience through leadership by way of employee development and coaching.

WHAT WE'RE SEEKING:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals to perform the essential functions.

  • Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university and 5+ years of relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience, required.

  • Leadership: 2+ years of demonstrated experience in team management/development or project leadership is required.

  • Warehouse & Vendor Expertise: Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, equipment, and vendor landscape.

  • Systems Proficiency: Experience with ERP and procurement systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Coupa).

  • Analytical & Negotiation Skills: Excellent negotiation, analytical, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

  • Project Leadership: Strong project management skills in support of cross-functional team activities.

  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities.

  • Team & Culture Fit: Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Ability to be respectful, approachable, and team-oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.

  • Travel Flexibility: Must be willing to travel a minimum of 10%.

OTHER SKILLS THAT MAKE YOU STAND OUT:

  • Familiarity with OSHA and warehouse safety compliance is a plus.
