Director, Enterprise Data Management

Medica
401(k)
United States, Minnesota, Minnetonka
401 Carlson Parkway (Show on map)
Aug 22, 2025
Description

Medica is seeking a visionary leader to drive the strategic transformation of our enterprise data ecosystem. This role will help lead the modernization and execution of data platforms with a strong emphasis on modernizing to cutting edge data technologies. The Director will help champion scalable, governed, and resilient data delivery through metadata-driven design, version control, CI/CD pipelines, and zero-downtime data load architectures.

In partnership with fellow data leaders and business strategy stakeholders, this role will evolve Medica's enterprise data strategy, integrating data from legacy systems and acquisitions into a unified, governed environment that supports enterprise-wide decision-making. The Director will oversee the collection, management, and analysis of data across Medica, ensuring alignment with architectural standards and regulatory requirements including HIPAA and CMS.

A key focus will be enabling robust self-service data access frameworks that empower analysts, data scientists, and business users to discover, query, and visualize data independently. This includes building curated, reusable data products, implementing semantic layers, and enforcing role-based access controls for secure and compliant access. The Director will promote the use of data catalogs, lineage tools, and documentation to enhance transparency and usability across the organization.

This leader will also support cross-functional initiatives to unify data across Medica's ecosystem-including Stars, Risk Adjustment, and Provider Connectivity programs-while collaborating with infrastructure and security teams to maintain secure, cost-effective environments. Additionally, the Director will explore opportunities to integrate AI into data workflows to enhance automation, orchestration, and decision-making capabilities.
