We are currently hiring for:

Job Title: Veterinary Technician

Job Summary: This position is responsible for providing support to the Live operations and the WLF Veterinarian in maintaining adequate veterinary services and support for our growers. Field responsibilities may include but are not limited to assisting with sample collections and assisting with on-farm audits. Other responsibilities may include: maintaining health databases, building technical documents, updating IDALS grower list, training, updating grower portal, live audits, etc.

Compensation Details: Minimum starting wage would be $22.00 per hour depending on experience.

Job Responsibilities:

• Maintaining Turkey Health Database
• Collecting poult health data for Poult Health Database
• Collect routine samples from farms for health surveys
• Assist with On-farm & Plant audits (Animal Welfare & NPIP) and 3rd party audit prep
• Assisting with building technical guides or documents
• Assist with Lab Projects and vaccine development
• Updating and Maintaining IDALS list
• Develop and maintain grower and live training
• Hatchery audits and data collection for continuous improvement
• Aid in Live permitting and Avian disease tracking
• Managing the grower portal including medication tracking for product claim support
• Salmonella grower tracking and reporting
• Collect on farm sampling, fill out and ship lab documents
• Assist on farm vaccinations
• Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

• Minimum of an associates degree or bachelor's degree preferred or the equivalent of an accredited veterinary technology program
• Must be able to communicate effectively, both written and verbal, in English
• Must have basic computer operational skills
• Must be safety, quality, and efficiency minded
• Compassion and empathy is crucial when working with animals
• Physical ability to work with animals
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Candidates must successfully pass post-offer/pre-employment drug test, background screen and physical
