Overview

TRC is seeking an entry level Health and Safety Specialist for our growing Safety and Industrial Hygiene team in Exton Pennsylvania. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated individual and results-oriented team player who works with project managers and stakeholders to understand project needs and goals to meet project specific requirements. The Health and Safety Specialist is responsible for meeting with clients to identify health and safety goals, maintaining quality and risk management processes to keep work on track, and delivering safety inspection checklists and/or reports according to scope, schedule, and budget.


Responsibilities

  • Perform workplace safety inspections for clients
  • Conduct indoor air quality, industrial hygiene, and mold sampling surveys.
  • Prepare and organize client deliverables
  • Ability to enter data and generate reports using job specific software
  • Maintain a billable utilization target
  • Travel (typically 30-40%) to client sites, as needed, and/or occasional overnight travel
  • Ability to make decisions and perform as an independent thinker and leader, but also collaborate with project team personnel.

Qualifications

  • B.S. or M.S. in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or related degree from an accredited university.
  • 0-2 years of experience in the field of occupational safety and health.
  • Eligible to apply for certified safety professional and/or construction health and safety technician after relevant time and work experience in the field
  • Skill and experience in occupational health and safety is preferred, but not required.
  • OSHA-10 Hour and OSHA-30 Hour certification preferred, but not required.
  • Strong familiarity with federal and state EHS regulations in general industry preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to develop a positive relationship with our clients and employees.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check, drug screen, physical and motor vehicle records check.
  • Valid driver's license is required

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.

Salary Range

USD $48,318.00 - USD $52,000.00 /Yr.
