About the Role
You'll provide operational and analytical support across HR-owning day-to-day benefits and leave administration, ensuring HRIS accuracy and reporting, coordinating recruiting and onboarding, and helping us stay compliant and audit-ready.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the employee-facing benefits contact; resolve eligibility/claims issues with carriers.

  • Partner with C3 (broker/TPA) on escalations, file feeds, and OE deliverables; reconcile carrier invoices and secure credits.
  • Reconcile weekly payroll check registers to benefits deductions and correct variances.
  • Administer LOAs end-to-end (FMLA/CFRA/PDL) and support ADA interactive process; coordinate with payroll/benefits.
  • Maintain HRIS data governance; build/schedule standard and ad-hoc reports; support configuration testing and user guidance.
  • Run routine audits across HRIS, payroll, and benefits; produce dashboards/KPIs (benefits costs, turnover, headcount, UTO) with insights.
  • Support requisitions, postings, screening, interview coordination, offers, and background checks; lead new-hire orientation and ensure timely I-9/E-Verify.
  • Draft HR communications, guides, and SOPs; provide systems training and quick-reference materials for managers.
  • Distribute/track policy acknowledgments; coordinate ACA filings and compliance reporting with internal teams and vendors.
  • Manage mandatory training (e.g., harassment prevention) and maintain records; monitor regulatory updates and refresh procedures.
  • Document concerns, coordinate investigations/follow-ups, and prepare corrective action materials as directed.
  • Maintain accurate personnel files and electronic records per retention requirements; assist with internal/external audits.
  • Plan and execute HR projects; track milestones/risks; recommend and implement process improvements.
  • Support recognition programs, service milestones, engagement surveys, and meeting materials.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's in HR, Business, or related field; or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years progressive HR experience with hands-on HRIS reporting, benefits, LOA, and generalist operations.
  • SHRM-CP/PHR (preferred).
  • Working knowledge of U.S./state employment laws; experience with audits and policy compliance.
  • HRIS administration/reporting (ADP) and strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, data integrity, and documentation.
  • Clear, proactive communicator who tailors messages and keeps stakeholders informed.
  • Sound judgment, confidentiality, and appropriate escalation.
  • Disciplined project management-plan, prioritize, and drive tasks to completion.
  • Strong writing for policies/SOPs and employee-facing materials.
  • Continuous-improvement mindset; comfortable iterating processes for efficiency and compliance.
