Overview

Frontier Technology Inc. is seeking an individual who is deeply experienced supporting an advanced concept organization with impactful graphical designs for software products and content to enhance the delivery of expert level messages and information. This individual, as a key member of the Space Force's Rapid Resilient Command and Control (R2C2) CBT development team and will work with cross-functional teams to create and update eLearning mockups, briefings, reports, plans, eLearning artifacts, dashboards, and web assts.

The candidate will also interface directly with internal and customer subject matter experts to visually represent complex technical information. This Graphic Designer role, also referred to as Graphic Artists or Communication Designers, combines art and technology to communicate ideas through images and the layout of elearning assets with visual flow diagrams and other graphics. They may use a variety of design elements to achieve artistic or decorative effects.



Responsibilities

    Engage with the FTI Customer to help them visualize and define their requirements, document the work scope, and gain consensus on the work plan.
  • Use digital design software, and layout software to create designs (Adobe Creative Cloud & Figma/Invision preferred).
  • Responsible for the life cycle of projects, from customer contact through project delivery.
  • Professional level understanding of design principles for print, web design, and digital formats.
  • Critical understanding of color theory, visual hierarchy and graphical communication for all formats when using text in layouts, images, lists, or tables.
  • Perform technical reviews and assessments to brief all stakeholders.
  • Transform complex diagrams and data into accessible visual graphics.
  • Conduct design research and analysis.
  • Utilize time management and project management skills by using service ticket systems (JIRA, GIT, Trello, and Microsoft Planner).
  • Collaborate with project leads, subject matter experts, Instructional Systems Designers, and other designers to deliver polished on-brand creative assets.
  • Help manage the company's responsibilities related to licensing, trademarks, and copyrights.
  • Apply your industry knowledge and experience to evaluate work created by others, contribute, review and improve visual strategy and execution of branding projects, including logo design, style guides, systems, and graphical layouts.
  • Execute innovative, creative ideas and concepts for UI/UX design development and other digital products, including page layouts, web homepages, and other promotional material.
  • Ensure consistency, quality, and attention to detail across all deliverables.
  • Stay up to date on current design trends, tools, and process improvements.


Education/Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design, industrial design, or interior design from an accredited college or university.
  • 4+ years of experience working as an individual and/or within a team as a graphic designer.
  • 2+ years of experience with web design and production to include front end HTML/CSS.
  • Willingness to get a DoD Secret clearance, Top Secret clearance (SCI Eligible) is highly desired
  • Extensive knowledge and mastery of Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma, and the tools of the trade.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing skillsets preferred
  • Experience working with "customers" (whether internal or external) to identify their requirements and definition of success to create or update their "products".
  • Experience adjusting and enhancing content - designing graphical images, using existing images, the graphical layout, color, placement of branding, and the text itself - to ensure high comprehension and a favorable impression by the consumer.
  • Experience working effectively to manage multiple parallel and different types of projects.

For this role, the annual compensation range for candidates in Colorado is ($90K- $140K)*.

*Note: Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience. FTI has a location-based compensation structure; there may be a different range for candidates in other locations.
