Job Title: Customer Service Representative
Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Customer Service Representative to join our team in a call center environment. You will handle inbound and follow-up calls, addressing customer inquiries about prior authorization, general questions, and confidential information. Your ability to provide excellent customer service with meticulous attention to detail is crucial as you accurately enter information into our systems. Responsibilities * Handle inbound and follow-up calls efficiently. * Provide answers to questions on prior authorization and general inquiries. * Manage confidential information with discretion. * Demonstrate exceptional customer service skills with a high level of detail. * Accurately enter and update customer information using multiple systems. * Maintain high quality standards and handle 50-100 calls daily, depending on complexity. * Utilize various programs to track information and communicate effectively with customers. Essential Skills * Minimum of 1 year experience in a high-volume call center within the last 2-3 years. * Strong customer service skills in a healthcare or medical setting. * Ability to type at least 30 words per minute. * Proficient computer knowledge and skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications * Stable employment history with a minimum tenure of 1 year in previous jobs. * Willingness to participate in required training and testing. * Capability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Work Environment Our work environment is designed to foster growth, with numerous opportunities for contractors to transition into permanent roles and advance into various departments such as IT, PA, claims, or become team leads, supervisors, and trainers. You must be available 7 days a week between 5 AM and 10 PM, with a set schedule assigned during training. Participation in training is crucial to success, with a requirement to complete assessments with an average of 90%. Be aware of mandatory overtime in January and February. Shift bids, based on performance, occur at the end of training. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Diego, California. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
