Job Title: Centralized Support Specialist I
Job Description This role involves functioning as an inbound healthcare contact center representative. You will manage phone and message inquiries from patients and their caregivers as they navigate the complexities of healthcare, including insurance matters, billing inquiries, and appointment management. You will work collaboratively with providers and operations team members to complete urgent tasks, ensuring seamless coordination among care partners like pharmacies, testing laboratories, specialists, and insurance companies. Responsibilities * Manage phone and message inquiries related to insurance, billing, and appointment management. * Navigate healthcare-related tasks such as medical records, authorizations, and referrals. * Collaborate with providers and operations team members to complete urgent tasks. * Ensure positive virtual interactions using the C-I-CARE framework. * Utilize technology suite including Slack, Google Suite, Zoom, and Electronic Medical Record System to interact with team members and patients. * Contribute to team development through rounding, attending team huddles, and supporting in-office providers with ad hoc requests. Essential Skills * Minimum 1 year of high-volume contact center experience and 1 additional year in direct customer service roles. * Alternatively, 2 years of experience in patient-facing healthcare service roles within the last 4 years. * Strong written and verbal communication skills. * Proficiency in multitasking with computers and phones while navigating multiple software systems. * Customer service, medical terminology, medical billing, and insurance verification expertise. Additional Skills & Qualifications * Experience in scheduling appointments, patient registration, and patient access. * Familiarity with medical records, prior authorizations, and medical claims. Work Environment The role entails high-volume inbound calls and tasking between calls, focusing on customer service and HIPAA compliance. Training is classroom-style, fast-paced, and requires proactive engagement. The role is 100% in-office, and candidates must score at least 80% on an assessment to graduate from training. The facility operates 24/7, with main shifts between 6am-6pm and shift bids available. Candidates must be available for at least one weekend day, with training scheduled Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm for four weeks. A shift differential is offered for certain hours. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tempe, Arizona. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.25 - $19.25/hr.
