Low Voltage Superintendent - Healthcare Construction (Full Travel) Location: Based in Tennessee (preferred) - Nationwide Travel Required
Client: TEKsystems' Client Start Date: Mid-November (First project in Virginia) Position Summary: TEKsystems' client is seeking a Low Voltage Superintendent to lead and manage healthcare construction projects across the country. This is a full-time traveling position ideal for a seasoned professional with a strong experience in low voltage systems and healthcare facility construction. This is the first hire for a newly launched healthcare division, offering a unique opportunity to help shape the team and processes from the ground up. Initial onboarding will take place in Clarksville, TN, before deployment to the first project site in Virginia. Key Responsibilities: * Lead all aspects of low voltage installations in healthcare environments, including new hospital builds, retrofits, and additions. * Manage project budgets, schedules, manpower, materials, and subcontractor coordination. * Serve as the primary point of contact for healthcare executives and project stakeholders. * Collaborate with trade partners to ensure quality, safety, and timely delivery. * Forecast labor and material needs, resolve issues proactively, and maintain project momentum. * Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and maintain OSHA 30 certification. * Occasionally assist hands-on when needed-teamwork and flexibility are essential. Required Qualifications: * Proven experience as a Superintendent or Construction Project Manager in low voltage/electrical commercial or industrial projects. * Healthcare construction experience is required (e.g., hospitals, medical centers). * OSHA 30 certification is mandatory. * Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. * Proficiency with scheduling tools and familiarity with Pull Planning. * Ability to manage high-pressure environments and solve problems proactively. * Willingness to travel extensively and work independently in the field.
