Position Overview:

REDLattice is seeking a Senior Cyber Engineer to join our expert team. This role is ideal for subject matter experts with hands-on experience in developing and deploying embedded cybersecurity capabilities across diverse technical and operational environments.

As a Senior Cyber Engineer, you will independently design and deliver advanced end-to-end solutions, leveraging tools such as Ghidra and IDA Pro for firmware reverse engineering, and applying a deep understanding of PCB-level communications (SPI, UART, I2C) to identify vulnerabilities in embedded systems. You will also lead and mentor embedded engineering teams, ensuring development programs meet stringent operational requirements while driving technical excellence.

This position requires significant autonomy and direct interaction with customers, where you will provide innovative insights and actionable solutions to high-priority cybersecurity challenges. You will also apply your expertise in RF communication systems and protocol derivation, as well as conduct open-source research into technical devices of interest, to strengthen mission outcomes. In this role, you will be at the forefront of solving some of the nation's most complex cybersecurity problems, guiding technical teams while engaging directly with stakeholders to deliver impactful results.

Basic Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity or related technical field (Master's preferred).
  • 7+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity engineering, reverse engineering, or vulnerability research.
  • Demonstrated expertise with reverse engineering tools such as Ghidra and IDA Pro.
  • Proven experience developing and deploying embedded cybersecurity capabilities across diverse technical domains.
  • Deep understanding of PCB-level communications, including SPI, UART, and I2C.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify vulnerabilities in embedded systems and lead end-to-end solution development.
  • Proficiency in RF communication systems and experience with protocol derivation from captured signals.
  • Experience collecting and analyzing open-source information on technical devices of interest.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor engineers and manage technical development programs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in direct customer engagement.
  • Up to Active TS/SCI clearance required, with ability to obtain additional clearances, as needed.
