What We're Looking For:

The Restaurant Host is responsible for welcoming guests and setting the tone for an exceptional Restaurant experience. Key duties include managing seating arrangements, assisting with reservations, and coordinating with the bar and food service teams to ensure smooth and enjoyable visits for all guests. This role requires creating a warm, organized, and vibrant environment that leaves a lasting positive impression.

Who You Are:

  • Thorough knowledge of restaurant terminology, food service techniques, and sanitation standards

  • Ability to interact warmly with guests and ensure they have a positive first impression.

  • Ability to handle guest concerns or complaints calmly and professionally.

  • Strong organizational skills to manage reservations, seating arrangements, and guest flow efficiently.

What You'll Do:

  • Welcome guests warmly upon arrival and assist them with seating arrangements.

  • Maintain a seating chart and manage guest flow to ensure tables and lounge chairs are allocated efficiently.

  • Escort guests to their seats, ensuring they are comfortable and have access to menus, towels, and other amenities.

  • Manage a waitlist and update guests on availability when necessary.

  • Provide information about the hotel, restaurant, menu offerings, and special promotions.

  • Assist guests with special requests or needs to enhance their visit.

  • Address guest concerns or complaints professionally, escalating to management as needed.

  • Collaborate with bartenders, barbacks, and servers to deliver a seamless guest experience.

  • Relay special requests or information about large parties, special occasions, or dietary preferences to bartenders or servers.

  • Assist in keeping the restaurant and bar area clean and organized, ensuring that menus and seating areas are tidy.

  • Monitor the restaurant and bar ambiance, ensuring guest comfort and a welcoming atmosphere.

  • Assist in resetting tables or restaurant/bar seating promptly for new guests.

  • Monitor the restaurant and bar area for safety hazards and inform guests of restaurant or hotel policies.

  • Ensure restaurant and bar space remain tidy and organized throughout the shift.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Your Qualifications Include:

  • Prior experience in a guest-facing role, preferably in a hospitality or restaurant setting.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and customer-oriented attitude.

  • Capability to perform duties in an outdoor environment, adapting to various weather conditions.

  • Ability to work flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
