Summary: The Senior Construction Project Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing multiple complex projects simultaneously from start to finish with a focus on completing each project on time, within budget, and to the requirements of the project design. This position routinely manages teams of professionals, coordinates with stakeholders, and oversees activites such as development, implementation, coordination, contracts, permits, schedule, budget, documentation, turnover, and compliance of construction involving buildings, grounds, facilities, and infrastructure for NC Children's. Responsibilities: 1. Provide overall management of multiple construction project plans, budgets, and schedules simultaneously. Oversee and maintain alignment with designers, project management teams, and contractors to facilitate project activities. Provide leadership, management, and supervision for professional and technical personnel as well as construction trades. 2. Represent NC Children's in project meetings for items such as contract terms, scope clarification, plan and specification meaning, project schedule reviews, work progress updates, issue resolution, change orders, and project costs. 3. Serve as the NC Children's primary point of contact for designers, stakeholders, and contractors, providing regular updates and direction on project status, schedule, budget, and resource allocation. 4. Manage personnel job descriptions (for the NC Children's construction program), including conducting of interviews and recommending the hiring of new personnel for the project. Supervise project staff. 5. Manage and direct the design and construction progams for NC Children's, including planning support for future projects and feasibility studies. Manage concepts, project programs, and budgets for projects at NC Children's and supporting sites, facilities, and locations. Analyze and research requests to establish project budgets and programming feasibility. Present project recommendations to leadership for consideration and approval. 6. Provide planning, organizing, and directing of work functions for personnel (internal and contracted), establishing work flow, assigning and reviewing tasks, tracking work delivery, and setting work performance standards and job expectations. 7. Represent the interests of NC Children's and act as the Owner's representative on all aspects of the project. Generate and maintain all project related documentation for project updates and Hospital compliance such as Risk Assessments, project inspection logs, project inspections by State and Federal agencies, stakeholder updates, and any credentialing agencies. Establish and oversee all project turnovers to Operations. Ensure all required closeout documentation, final punch completion, and attic stock materials are received.
