The National Multiple Sclerosis Society mobilizes people and resources to drive research for a cure and to address the challenges of everyone affected by MS. To fulfill this mission, the Society funds cutting-edge research, drives change through advocacy, facilitates professional education, collaborates with MS organizations around the world, and provides programs and services designed to help people with MS and their families move their lives forward. We partner with volunteers to accomplish our work. Staff members engage volunteers through effective and timely communications, facilitating meaningful opportunities, and continually seeking and providing feedback for reciprocal growth and learning.

The Vice President of MarComms Operationsoversees the data, integrated planning, technology, and processes that allow Marketing & Communications to achieve its goals. A senior leader, the VP is a strong leader of teams and a peer collaborator, both inside and outside of the department. The VP sets the vision and strategy primarily surrounding audience intelligence, business analytics, and user research and drives the design and implementation of processes that optimize the day-to-day operations of the Marketing & Communications' teams.

Main Responsibilities

  • Works with the CMCO and peer leaders to define, implement, and monitor work processes and SOPs to increase efficiency and seamless interaction and collaboration across teams.

  • Defines and implements MarComms's audience and business data strategy, tactical execution and innovation.

  • Advises all teams on what data to collect, store, and analyze to produce actionable insights.

  • Leads data enrichment efforts (i.e. appends) for all audiences to continuously improve on-hands audience knowledge.

  • Works closely with the Technology teams and various internal stakeholders to design and support an efficient and compliant tech stack capable of leveraging and automating audience insights across all Marketing channels and experiences.

  • Oversees and directs all analytical work (audience, business performance) to generate useful reports, dashboards, and one-off detailed data views on business goals progress, KPI tracking, and emerging trends.

  • Defines and directs user research projects that use available intelligence to inform frictionless and rewarding experiences for all constituents.

  • Leads the ideation and execution of complex audience data modeling to continuously refine audience profiles used for paid media and advertising targeting, content development, and experience definition.

  • Leads the Integrated Planning work by managing a cross-functional prioritization process that allows all teams to focus on the most important bodies of work given the available bandwidth.

  • Oversees the allocation and execution of selective project management resources for high-impact, multi-stakeholder projects.

  • Integration work with Peers (process refinement and strategic projects) - 30%

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Market Research, or related field

  • 10+ years of experience in either marketing, audience research, or data analytics (preferably with experience on all three areas) with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

  • Deep understanding of marketing technology and data analytics

  • Proven success in managing multi-stakeholder technology projects

  • High collaboration and diplomatic skillsets to influence shared solutions across teams

  • Strong team leadership, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

  • Experience working in fast-paced, high-visibility environments.

  • Overall responsible for the entire business vertical including full P&L accountability

  • Provides overall vision, strategic support, and leadership to various teams modeling strong cultural approach to drive accountability, empowerment, innovation, and frugal resource stewardship

  • Collaborates with peers to integrate cross-vertical processes towards efficiency

  • Drives long term business transformation across several key areas with a main focus on data and audience intelligence

  • Provides data-driven decision making for all projects within the vertical to ensure strategic prioritization

  • Constantly monitors and evaluates progress across major KPIs, both tactical and long-term, including overall ROI for each initiative

Location Requirements

  • Remote - Flexible Location

  • Work is primarily performed remotely, however, when possible and necessary, teams meet in person to conduct the business of the organization and build team relationships.

Compensation | Benefits:

The estimated hiring compensation range for this role is $130,000-$150,000. Final offers will be based on the candidate'sgeographic location, consider career experience and may vary from this range due to these and other factors.
