Enterprise Strategic Program Management Principal serves as thought leaders and consultants, overseeing a collection of strategic programs across various domains. They are responsible for identifying innovative opportunities that drive progress within the P&L and ensures the right level of rigor and visibility is provided for desired outcomes. They will also specialize in influencing business decisions using a fact-based approach, taking new ideas from concept to execution, and successfully communicating with senior leaders.

Essential Functions

About the Role - with deep expertise in fact-based decision-making, Principals will influence organizational strategy, ensuring rigorous execution and executive visibility to achieve targeted results. From concept to implementation, they navigate complex business landscapes, fosters cross-functional collaboration, and effectively communicates with senior leaders through impactful presentations/narratives, shaping key business decisions and long-term success.

  • Strategic Oversight & Execution - Independently leads the management of large-scale, high-impact programs, ensuring alignment with business objectives and measurable outcomes.
  • Problem Resolution & Risk Management - Identifies and mitigates challenges, proactively escalating risks and obstacles while driving solutions to maintain momentum.
  • Program Planning & Ownership - Develops and executes comprehensive program strategies, defining goals, objectives, and success metrics for long-term impact.
  • Value Optimization & Financial Rigor - Assesses initiatives to ensure optimal value delivery, applying the appropriate level of strategic and financial oversight.
  • Operational Excellence & Execution Frameworks - Establishes and enforces program management and operating model standards, ensuring efficient execution and accelerated delivery.
  • Executive Reporting & Strategic Insights - Synthesize complex information to develop data-driven reports and presentations that provide leadership with visibility into program progress, risks, roadblocks, and key successes, translating insights into long-term action.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Influence - Builds trusted relationships with senior leaders, driving alignment, transparency, and collaboration across business functions.
  • Innovation & Continuous Improvement - Drives a culture of innovation, identifying opportunities to optimize processes, enhance execution, and maximize organizational effectiveness.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Previous experience with and knowledge of the FedEx Operating Model and Planview is considered a plus
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and planning skills
  • Strong human relations and communications skills
  • Understanding of business management and operational supply chain management
  • Strong executive presence and experience working with leadership
  • Previous experience at a business strategy consulting firm is considered a plus.

Minimum Education

Bachelor's Degree/equivalent in business administration or related discipline.

Minimum Experience

Five to eight (5-8) years of experience in program management or project management in a business environment with demonstrated ability to lead large, complex projects and programs and build professional rapport.

Domicile Information

This position can be domiciled anywhere in the United States. The ability to work remotely within the United States may be available based on business need. Preference is to by hybrid in Memphis, TN or another corporate FedEx office.
