SUMMARY: The Public Safety Officer II is responsible for providing advanced security services to ensure the safety of patients, staff, and visitors. This role involves mentoring junior officers, coordinating emergency responses, and implementing security protocols. The role plays a crucial role in maintaining a secure and safe environment within the healthcare facility. Ensures no one enters the hospital with any weapons or other unpermitted objects that would potentially cause a safety issue within our hospital. Full Time, Day Shift, 40 Hours Per Week Location: St. Petersburg, FL ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform all functions.
QUALIFICATIONS: Education: * High school diploma or equivalent. Additional training or education in criminal justice, public safety, or a related field is preferred. Salary Range: Minimum 16.05/hour - Maximum 25.69/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
