Job Summary:

The Athletics Department at Marist University invites applications for a full-time, 10-month position as an Assistant Coach, Women's Lacrosse. This position will assist with training and coaching student-athletes to compete effectively and successfully at the NCAA Division I level, assist with managing and planning for daily practices and intercollegiate contests and supervise conditioning and training programs in conjunction with professional staff, and assist with recruiting high-quality student-athletes who are capable to succeed in a challenging academic environment and an intensely competitive lacrosse program. This position will provide general guidance and support for student-athletes in athletic and non-athletic endeavors to enhance their experience at the University and promote academic success. In addition, assist with managing the program budget to include ordering team equipment and planning for team travel, and abide by all Marist University, NCAA and Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference rules and regulations. This position will actively participate in University, public, alumni, media appearances and fundraising and booster events. This position must demonstrate commitment to creating a supportive work environment within the team, department, and University.

Minimum Qualifications:
|
- Bachelor's Degree
- 1-3 years of relevant work experience
- Valid driver's license with no serious convictions

Essential Functions:
|
Assist HC in developing Program needs including the following: * Formulating and organization of practice, on-field coaching and training. * Conducting individual and small group training. * Conducting comprehensive game strategizing, Scouting and film review of practices and games. * Preparing daily team practices. * Working games and practices. Recruiting athletes to Marist University: * Researching all relevant recruiting opportunities of prospective student-athletes. * Preparing and coordinating scheduling of recruiting, accommodations in accordance with NCAA, MAAC, and institutional regulations. * Evaluating prospective student-athletes by attending tournaments, showcases and other relevant recruiting opportunities during permissible recruiting periods. * Conducting professional communications with coaches, prospective student-athletes and parents under permissible recruiting timelines. * Coordinating visitation. * Active and up to date with compliance of NCAA and institutional rules. Provide mentoring in conjunction with staff and program vision to student-athletes inside and outside of practice on their academic, personal, civic, and career aspirations for the future. Assist in other administrative tasks and other duties as assigned by the head coach and/or the Director of Athletics.

- Tuition Benefits:
- Up to 16 undergraduate credits per semester. Up to 18 graduate credit per academic calendar. Eligibility extends to employee, spouse, and dependent children under age 26.
- University pays 100% tuition only.
- Eligible dependents may be Reimbursed up to $2,000 per semester towards tuition at another accredited institution.
