Job Summary

Leads employees to obtain proficiency in manufacturing skills to achieve established performance measures and quality expectations. Coordinates with Production Control, Process Technicians, Product Launch Technicians and other Section Leaders on workflow, quality issues, production goals and training needs. Models James Avery values through actions and leadership, fostering a culture of respect, teamwork, and open communication both within the department and across functions. Encourages growth by identifying opportunities for employee training and development, creating an environment where associates feel valued, empowered, and aligned with the company's mission.

This opportunity is on our 2nd Shift. Schedule Monday - Thursday; 5:00 PM - 3:30 AM.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

* Plans and deploys daily production output by group/work-center and projects headcount requirements in order to meet plant production schedule.

* Conducts periodic quality audits in work-center and communicates findings with Production Managers.

* Maintains proficiency with shop floor systems to help sustain production quality and efficiency.

* Encourages team building and cohesion with the section. Works with Plant Management to ensure performance standards are consistently met.

* Maintains effective communication to set expectations on production attainment and inspection standards.

* Assesses quality issues to help correct transactions for process improvement and efficiency.

* Adapts to changes in prioritization or schedules of items in the work queue, as necessary.

* Ensures transactional and procedural compliance with shop floor systems to help downstream workflows.

* Tracks and validates technicians' work for safety, quality, and productivity.

* Tracks process and equipment performance and properly escalates issues to Production Managers.

* Provides training to section relative to new product launches as well as fundamental skills required to perform at that work center.

* Facilitates daily section leader huddles with team.

* Performs direct labor activities to support the daily requirements of the section.

* Performs other manufacturing assignments as directed by Production Managers and Supervisors.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

*High School Diploma or equivalent.

*Two years of applicable or leadership experience.

Preferred Qualifications

* Knowledge of setting tools and equipment.

* Knowledge of basic training fundamentals and prior hands-on training experience.

* Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

* Oracle or other ERP Database experience.
