Purpose of the Role

The BOP Civil Superintendent will play a critical role in delivering projects that support Worley's ambition of driving sustainable change across the energy, chemicals, and resources sectors. This role provides leadership and direction on construction-related projects, ensuring successful delivery within scope, budget, and schedule, while upholding contractual obligations. The position requires a forward-thinking professional who can balance customer objectives with Worley's commitment to sustainability, innovation, and value creation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead construction project planning, execution, and close-out, ensuring alignment with Worley's purpose of delivering a more sustainable world.

  • Interpret customer objectives, contract requirements, and corporate policies to define project goals and develop actionable plans to achieve them.

  • Administer project and company policies, processes, and procedures to support delivery excellence and maintain compliance.

  • Direct and guide assigned teams, ensuring work is completed efficiently and collaboratively in line with organizational goals.

  • Develop strong relationships with customers, partners, and stakeholders to build trust and ensure effective communication across all project phases.

  • Anticipate risks and challenges, provide solutions grounded in sound technical knowledge, and ensure safety, environmental, and social impacts are fully considered in project decisions.

  • Manage financial and schedule performance, proactively identifying opportunities to optimize cost and resources while maintaining high-quality outcomes.

  • Support a culture of continuous improvement by sharing lessons learned and identifying opportunities for process innovation across projects.

  • Contribute to Worley's broader ambition of increasing sustainability-related project delivery by ensuring construction projects are executed with sustainable practices and long-term asset value in mind

Qualifications / Skillset
  • University degree in engineering, construction management, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.

  • Significant professional experience in project management, with a proven track record of delivering successful construction projects within the energy, chemicals, or resources sectors.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead small to moderately complex projects, with the capacity to make independent decisions that have technical, financial, and environmental implications.

  • Strong understanding of construction systems, processes, and tools, with the ability to troubleshoot and support others in their use.

  • Experience interpreting and applying contractual terms, customer requirements, and corporate policies to ensure compliant and effective delivery.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to prepare and deliver compelling proposals, presentations, and reports to diverse stakeholders.

  • Proven leadership capabilities, with experience guiding project teams and providing technical direction to achieve collective goals.

  • Sound judgment in balancing project priorities with financial, social, and environmental considerations, aligned to Worley's purpose of delivering sustainable change.

  • Ability to work proactively and independently while maintaining alignment with organizational objectives and collaborating effectively with supervisors and peers.
