Job Description
The D&T department seeks a new Manager with broad potential to aid the Train Network Operational Control Application area. This manager brings experience in transportation and logistics related applications, with a focus on Crew Management and Timekeeping. This manager brings strong technical skills combined with strengths in project and team management to complement their peers and produce the strongest possible D&T Management Team. This position is responsible for managing an D&T team through the full System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for both simple and complex projects using traditional or Agile software development methodology. This manager will be responsible for enhancing and supporting existing systems which may include mission critical systems that will have stringent high availability and disaster recovery requirements. These systems may be implemented using different platforms, architectures, and technologies. This manager will also be responsible for delivery of development projects according to a defined plan, schedule and budget using formal enterprise SDLC, project management and architectural guidelines. This manager will have direct supervisory responsibilities for a team of employees and managed service contract staff and will report to a Sr Director, D&T Department. Responsibilities:
