Congressional Lead At Scale, we believe that AI will dramatically improve the world, and our mission is to accelerate the development of AI. As Scale continues to build and develop its Policy function, we are looking for a Congressional Lead to support our engagements related to issues facing Congress. You will join a rapidly growing team with the opportunity to manage and execute Congressional engagement related to topics like AI, Tech, Defense and Workforce Policy, and more. The successful candidate will have a history of successfully driving successful Policy outcomes, a solid understanding of Congressional processes/procedures and the ability to translate business objectives in wins. Responsibilities: Manage Congressional Republican or Democrat portfolio on behalf of the Company Proactively work with the Hill to build relationships with key Congressional staff, successfully drive Scale's priorities into legislation and more. Own relationships with external consultants, trade associations, etc. Work to understand business objectives and how to translate them into succinct and tangible Policy asks Assist in the formation of Scale's Policy strategy and priorities Advise and brief Scale Leadership on policies impacting Artificial Intelligence Policy Build relationships with and educate Members of Congress and their staff on issues related to artificial intelligence and Scale's business Monitor policy, legislative and regulatory changes for potential impact to Scale's business Required skills and qualifications: Between 5-7 years experience of working for a Member of Congress, Lobby Firm, Company or Trade Association Experience successfully securing provisions in the Legislation such as the NDAA or various pieces of tech legislation Excellent written and verbal communication skills A history of managing multiple works streams simultaneously *PLEASE NOTE:*Our policy requires a 90-day waiting period before reconsidering candidates for the same role.
