Overview

This position is responsible for leading the enterprise Resolution Planning Program and the team responsible for developing and maintaining the Plan. As a senior leader in the Corporate Treasury function, this position will provide strategic guidance, interpret rules, and set organizational expectations to demonstrate preparedness for a resolution event. To this end, the Senior Director directs and leads the team in design and development methods commensurate with regulatory expectations and maintains effective controls and governance. Provides coaching and guidance to staff to ensure continued alignment with organizational culture.


Responsibilities

  • Business Strategy - Leads the Resolution Planning team in develops the Resolution Plan and strategic execution in alignment with rule requirements and supervisory expectations.
  • Business Support - Establishes partnerships across the Treasury team, corporate functions, and lines of business to drive the Resolution Planning processes. Implements governance processes and standards ensuring sufficient identification, documentation, and review of resolution plan capabilities. Ensures alignment with programs such as Capital Management and Planning and Liquidity Risk Management.
  • Reporting - Leads Resolution Planning governance committee, providing timely delivery of selected approaches and results to senior leadership to support review and challenge. Represents program during reviews with internal audit and regulatory examinations.
  • Managerial functions - establishes and monitors expectations to achieve company and department goals. Makes appropriate changes to department policies, procedures, and efficiencies in order to meet objectives. Manages the performance, training, and evaluation of assigned staff. Maximizes department achievements by providing guidance and professional development.
  • Relationship Development - Communicates and collaborates with Treasury, corporate functions, lines of business, and the 2nd line of defense. Establishes strong relationship that enable the free flow of information between groups and timely reporting.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and 12 years of experience in Banking Treasury or Finance OR High School Diploma or GED and 16 years of experience in Banking Treasury or Finance

Required Area of Experience: Banking Treasury or Finance. Large Financial Institutional experience required.

Preferred Area of Experience: Experience leading Resolution and/or Recovery Planning or other cross-functional regulatory initiatives (i.e., CCAR) at a Large Financial Institution preferred.

Experience leading in a large, diverse organization

Preferred Area of Study: Fields such as Finance, Econometrics, Mathematics, Law

Preferred Education Level: MS

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of US regulations in the financial services sector; including deep expertise in US Resolution and/or Recovery planning requirements.
  • Understanding Modeling Development and Controls.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Strong knowledge of financial systems.
  • Critical thinking skills and Strategic focus.
  • Ability to handle confidential and proprietary information.
