Job Title: Senior Accountant

Duration: 6 months (possibility of extension and conversion for right candidate)

Location:
Bridgewater, NJ, 08807 - Hybrid role with 3 days/week onsite

Description:

This position is an integral part of the US Finance function supporting intercompany management of the US commercial operations. The successful incumbent will be responsible for a variety of accounting functions, including monthly close activities, recording journal entries and reconciliations of balance sheet accounts and with intercompany partners. The individual will be a key contributor in the continued movement towards the harmonization of internal reporting processes.

Core Responsibilities

  • Prepares work in the following areas: Journal entries, such as accrued liabilities, transfer price adjustments, standard cost revaluation, and intercompany accruals
  • Balance sheet account reconciliations
  • Balance sheet account roll forwards, including variance analysis and explanations Intercompany reconciliation, elimination, and reporting.
  • Document intercompany loans and ensure intercompany profit is properly eliminated.
  • Research and resolve disputes and ensure intercompany balances are reconciled.
  • Handle multiple entities, accounts and currency postings
  • Develop strong relationships with operators and Key Stakeholders
  • Prepare and present variance commentary of the monthly actuals review
  • Support internal and external SOX 404 audit requests and compliance requirements
  • Monthly distribution intercompany reports to key members
  • Produce ad-hoc analysis, evaluating transactions from branches and entities


Other Responsibilities

  • Support departmental, functional and corporate initiatives
  • Assist with the application of GAAP to new transactions
  • Establish rapport and build cooperative, respectful working relationships with relevant internal and external parties
  • As departmental workloads change, additional responsibilities may be required.


Qualifications

Required: Bachelor s degree in accounting

Required: Advanced MS Excel / MS Office

Preferred:

CPA, MBA and/or public accounting experience

Preferred:

Experience with HFM/PeopleSoft/SAP

Preferred:

3+ years of experience with similar responsibilities in a 500M+ business
