DESCRIPTION OF WORK

The Education Administration Specialist is the main point of contact for support and professional staff regarding all fiscal areas. You will assist in the development of educational administration procedures related to federal programs, planning, development, and liaison abilities necessary to function across Division and bureau lines. Work involves fiscal and budget management, grant life cycle oversight and data analysis and reporting. You will be expected to keep records of funds and special projects paid from all federal programs local fund accounts, prepare memos on federal grant awards with the appropriate breakdown of funding categories and move funds as needed. A key responsibility will be collaboration with various Division of Federal Program (DFP) staff for discussion and recommendations on fiscal problems and to provide fiscal information needed to complete grant processing tasks. You will have the opportunity to present at workshop sessions relevant to DFP allocations processes, budget and applications processing at annual Pennsylvania Association of Federal Programs Coordinators (PAFPC) conference and other conferences as required.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, currently one day in office per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year of experience as an Education Administration Associate (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Four years of professional experience in education including at least two years in educational administration; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:
