Department Summary International Affairs is a guide and champion for campus internationalization at the University of North Texas. It is our mission to support the university's global endeavors and international initiatives. This position will be a part of the International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) team. The ISSS Office at the University of North Texas provides compassionate immigration advice and support to UNT's 12,000 international students and scholars, and alumni. Position Overview This position provides leadership in ISSS by leading the design of comprehensive staff training programs, directing front desk operations, supervising an assigned team of FT & PT staff, and fostering a culture of continuous professional growth and excellent customer service, ensuring all ISSS staff members are equipped to provide high-quality, consistent support and advising to international students and scholars and the UNT campus community, while promoting compliance and institutional values. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in related field and five years of professional related work experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities * Thorough knowledge of international sponsored student advising topics and scholarship requirements. Preferred Qualifications Masters degree and two years of advising international students on complex immigration cases and customer service and training experience. Experience with SEVIS, Sunapsis, and PeopleSoft. A highly qualified candidate will possess training and customer service experience in a high-volume setting, time management, communication, and presentation skills, the ability to relate to a large population of students and employees, demonstrated leadership and team-building experience, and significant cross-cultural communication skills. Required License/Registration/Certifications Must meet federal requirements to serve as a Designated School Official (DSO) and/or Alternate Responsible Officer (ARO). Job Duties
