Job Summary-

**The hourly rate for this position is $30.60** A 15% shift differential is offered for 2nd shift.

General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems, Inc. (GD-OTS) has an CNC Maintenance Technician position open at our Saco, ME Operations. Come join our incredible team knowing that you will be making a difference in the mission of our warfighter.

The Electromechanical position will install, align, maintain, and repair a wide variety of machinery and CNC equipment. Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electronic malfunctions, repair, rebuild and overhaul assemblies; and is able to perform complex diagnoses and repairs of all electrical and electronic systems including CNC machines, and PLC controlled equipment. Follows established company directives, policies, military specifications, quality documents and manufacturing instructions.



Responsibilities-

The CNC Maintenance Technician will lead and direct other maintenance trades needed for repairs of the equipment, as well as work closely with Engineers, Programmers, Supervisors, production Employees and other Maintenance personnel. Also works closely with factory trained service technicians and service engineers. Will wire new equipment. Adjusts devices and control instruments. Program basic machine functions, axis movements, spindle speeds, tool recovery and MDI functions. Inspect operating machines and equipment for conformance with operational standards. Determines if a malfunction, or failure, is in the various electronic controls and accessories or, if it is associated with electrical, hydraulic or a combination of various problems; using an understanding all interfacing equipment and components used by the machine manufacture. Troubleshoots and isolates equipment malfunctions in various electronic controls and accessories. Interpret diagnostic tapes, and us other methods of trouble shooting, for CNC/NC equipment and computer processing units to isolate a problem down to particular printed circuit board. Creates new, or uses established, repair procedures to return equipment to serviceable and operating conditions. Requisitions tools, equipment, and supplies required for operations. Repairs electrical equ pment, and repairs or replaces defective parts. Will lay out and machine complex parts needed for machine repairs. May trace out, and replace if necessary, coolant, hydraulic and or pneumatic hoses using hydraulic and pneumatic hoses, fitting and hose crimping equipment.

There are advancement opportunities available for successful EMT #3's with the necessary skills and knowledge to meet the requirements for EMT #2 and EMT #1.



Qualifications-

    CNC repair experience required.
  • Employee must have basic computer skills and may be required to enter and verify information into written forms or database(s) as appropriate.
  • High school diploma or G.E.D. required, two-year degree in Electronics or equivalent experience preferred.

  • Must be capable of performing all tasks and duties of electricians.
