Department Information
The School of Civil and Environmental Engineering Program at the Georgia Institute of Technology is a vibrant and intellectually diverse School with people who are using new technologies to expand the notion of what it means to be civil and environmental engineers in the 21st Century. Job Summary

The School of Civil & Environmental Engineering (https://ce.gatech.edu/) at the Georgia Institute of Technology (CEEatGT) in Atlanta, GA invites applications for a full-time, Program Coordinator II position. As part of the relocation, integration and operation of the Geosynthetics Institute (GSI) as an affiliated organization at Georgia Tech, additional personnel will be required to advance the strategic vision for GSI. This newly created Program Coordinator II position will be responsible for providing high level, specialized administrative services in support of all the technical operations of the extensive laboratory facilities of GSI and ensuring that they provide technical laboratory testing support for the activities of GSI and its member companies in direct support of GSI management. The position encompasses organization of office services including coordinating calendars, meetings and events, financial matters, procurement and report preparation. They may also provide work coordination and supervision to lower-level administrative personnel and researchers within the unit. This position will interact on a consistent basis with: GSI management and staff, GSI members (external to GT), CEE administration, faculty and staff, vendors as well as office and laboratory visitors. This position typically will advise and counsel other administrative staff and may supervise lower-level administrative staff. The individual will also assist graduate and undergraduate students in administrative activities related to experimental research involving laboratory testing of geomaterials. Applicants for this position shall have a solid background in supporting engineering academia and practice and in the operations of civil and environmental engineering programs. Faculty and staff. Responsibilities

Job Duty 1 -
Plan, execute and provide assistance for meeting and event logistics and scheduling

Job Duty 2 -
Establish schedules, oversee arrangements and provide logistics support for targeted programs and/or projects and unit initiatives

Job Duty 3 -
Evaluate, assess and report on the feasibility and sustainability of potential programs, projects and initiatives

Job Duty 4 -
Provide necessary support related to the identification and execution of adopted unit programs/projects and other unit initiatives

Job Duty 5 -
Develop, arrange/coordinate meetings and project materials for distribution, as necessary

Job Duty 6 -
Compile, organize and analyze data for use in reports for targeted programs/projects and other unit initiatives

Job Duty 7 -
Monitor and update appropriate stakeholders of progress/milestones for program/project objectives

Job Duty 8 -
Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
Technical Diploma, Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

Required Experience
Three to five years job related experience

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

SKILLS
Excellent written and verbal communication, customer service and organization skills. The ability to prioritize tasks, work independently and/or within a team environment.

Salary range: $33.00 - $34.50/hourly

Location: Atlanta, GA

This is not a supervisory position.

Other Information

It is anticipated that the successful candidate will be an experienced professional and will leverage their expertise to bring substantial creativity and innovation to the administrative functions of GSI including frequent interactions with member company personnel. In addition to regular operational activities, the successful candidate will participate in the organization and implementation of various outreach and engagement activities between faculty, students and industry members, as well as coordinate, track and manage unit purchasing activities.
