Pantheon Data (a Kenific Holding company) is a private, small business based in the Washington, DC, area. Pantheon Data was founded in 2011, initially providing acquisition and supply chain management services to the US Coast Guard. Position Overview

Pantheon Data is seeking a Scrum Master to support a Navy client project focused on integrating Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) capabilities within a secure cloud environment. The Scrum Master will facilitate agile ceremonies, coach the team on agile best practices, and ensure smooth delivery across multiple development sprints.

The ideal candidate has prior experience supporting DoD or Navy programs, with a strong understanding of agile frameworks in technical environments. They should be comfortable working with engineers, analysts, and product deployment managers to remove impediments, track progress, and drive alignment between client contract deliverables and the core CB Suite product roadmap. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential, along with the ability to foster collaboration in a distributed team setting.

Responsibilities



  • Facilitate Scrum events, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Coach and mentor team members on agile principles, practices, and frameworks, such as Scrum and Kanban.
  • Remove impediments and obstacles that hinder the team's progress and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Foster a collaborative environment by promoting open communication, trust, and respect among team members.
  • Work closely with the product owner to prioritize the product backlog and ensure alignment with business goals and objectives.
  • Track and report on team metrics, such as velocity, burndown charts, and sprint progress, to identify areas for improvement.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to optimize the team's processes and practices to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • Serve as a servant leader, guiding the team towards self-organization and autonomy while promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.


Required Skills and Experience



  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification or equivalent agile certification.
  • Strong ability to translate between technical and non-technical stakeholders, including client program managers and Navy end-users.
  • Proven experience as a Scrum Master or agile coach in a software development environment.
  • Deep understanding of agile principles and practices, including Scrum, Kanban, and Lean methodologies.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively facilitate meetings and resolve conflicts.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on driving results and delivering value.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Knowledge of agile tools and software, such as Jira and Confluence.
  • Ability to work effectively remotely in cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and produce quality work.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite software including Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.


Preferred Skills and Experience



  • Experience serving as a Scrum Master on DoD or Navy IT programs, ideally with exposure to MBSE and/or PLM systems.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based development environments, including DoD cloud.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity and compliance requirements as they apply to agile software delivery.


Education

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Business, or related field.

Clearance Requirements

U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.

Work Location: United States - Remote

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $110,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
