As Principal UX Designer of CX Quality & Prototypes, you will play a pivotal role in elevating the quality and consistency of digital experiences across the Optum portfolio. Reporting to Optum's VP of Product Experiences & Design, you will apply design thinking, craft visually compelling and intuitive interfaces, and build interactive prototypes that bring ideas to life and drive executive alignment. This role is both strategic and hands-on, requiring deep expertise in mobile and web design, prototyping, and scalable design systems. You'll partner closely with Product Management, Engineering, Design, Research, and Accessibility teams to ensure every digital touchpoint reflects Optum's commitment to innovation, empathy, and excellence. Your work will shape enterprise-wide design standards and influence executive decision-making through compelling, customer-centered experiences. By delivering modern, visually engaging interfaces and solid interaction design across mobile apps and websites, you'll help raise the bar for quality. Additionally, you'll collaborate with the Design System team to define and scale reusable components and patterns that embody the brand's visual identity and drive consistency across the organization. You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. Primary Responsibilities:

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $132,200 to $226,600 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
