Job Description

We are currently hiring an R&D Process Developer at our breweries in either Milton, DE, Cincinnati, OH, or Breinigsville, PA.

As part of the R&D Process Development team, Developers will provide comprehensive support and implementation of solutions where technical challenges arise. The R&D Process Developer I partners with the Product Design and Integrated Supply Chain teams to support all new product transitions from R&D to production scale, ensuring the protection of flavor profile and product integrity. This position also supports continuous improvement efforts, including ideation, investigation of new technologies, trials, and execution of solutions to enhance Brewing and Blending operations. It collaborates with the Corporate Engineering team to support capital projects, execute trials, lead technical explorations, and resolve process anomalies at all production locations.

What You'll Brew:

* Collaborates with department leadership to establish priorities that drive improved safety & quality performance, brewery utilization, gross margin improvement, and better fit of BBCO recipes and processes to the production locations

* Authors and Audits corporate brewing and process standards and policies, including operational standardization across breweries, investigating new technology, and assistance in training/developing brewing staff.

* Supports 3rd party production sites as subject matter experts and BBCO process owners.

* Utilizes trial management and tracking systems in BBCO production breweries that drive effective learning and control the level of operational disruption

o Develops the design of an experiment for validating process changes or improvements across BBCO production sites

* Organizes and presents status on projects with effective cross-functional communication

* Continually identifies opportunities for resource optimization and gross margin improvement in BBC Brewing and Blending operations that increase efficiencies while preserving or improving the Quality of the drinkers' experience.

* Proactively engages in problem-solving to fit the cross-functional needs of the business, anywhere BBCO products are made

Level: 7

In accordance with pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role, if hired, is $50,000 - $100,000 annually, based on location and the candidate's experience level. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on individual and company performance. Certain sales positions are also eligible for a car allowance.

What Ingredients You'll Bring:

Minimum Qualifications:

* Minimum 2+ years of experience in the food and beverage industry or relevant experience in manufacturing settings

* Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel

* Proven ability to work in a flexible and changing schedule

* Must possess the technical skills to work in a lab, pilot plant, and manufacturing scale environments

* Project management experience is a strong plus

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience in project management, experimental design, fermentation management, and ingredients

* Excellent understanding of the product development process and its impacts on scalability

* Strong knowledge of large-scale beverage manufacturing processes
