About the Team/Role
This Directory Services Engineer position will help design, implement and support the Global Active Directory environments at WEX. This position will work closely with the development teams, DevOps Engineers and other IT Operations groups. This person needs to have strong problem solving skills, be very organized, and have the ability to multitask

How you'll make an impact

  • Analyze, design and influence Active Directory topology decisions.

  • Drive the applied standards and operating procedures of production domains with adjacent teams.

  • Coordinate, migrate and retire legacy domains;

  • Work with Infrastructure and Business teams to translate support requirements into least privilege access models.

  • Complete projects and other duties as assigned.

  • Project lead on technology changes as assigned.

  • Participate in the on-call support rotation.

Experience you'll bring

  • Advanced proficiency with Active Directory management, design, best practices, domain migrations.

  • Familiarity with Azure Active Directory, AADConnect, management techniques and principles.

  • Extensive experience with Windows Desktop Operating Systems in multi-domain environments.

  • Advanced proficiency with Powershell scripting, and automation.

  • Requires strong technical expertise across three or more infrastructure technology areas, ie. Firewall, routing, DNS, AWS,Azure, Certificate Services.

  • Requires strong analytical ability, problem solving skills, and effective human relations skills to work cross functionally across the Enterprise with staff and all levels of management in various disciplines.

  • Uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.

  • Ability to function in a complex environment through multi-tasking and establishing and communicating priorities.

  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills; capable of writing proposals or papers, acting as a vendor liaison, making presentations to customers or client audiences or professional peers, and working closely with upper management, acquired company personnel and outsourced service provider.

  • Strong listening and collaboration skills; must work effectively with engineers in other domains such as servers, operating systems and storage.

  • Ability to execute approved integration plans according to timelines laid out.

It would be great if you also had:

  • 3-5 years of experience with an emphasis on Domain Topology Management, Bachelor's degree preferred

  • AWS or Azure Cloud Certifications

The base pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position. Actual pay rates will vary and will be based on various factors, such as your qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. Base pay is one component of WEX's total compensation package. Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable plan. Non-sales roles are typically eligible for a quarterly or annual bonus based on their role and applicable plan.
