Position Summary
Teach Human Biology course to non-science majors during Spring 2026 semester (January 12, 2026 - May 11, 2026).

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Adjuncts are responsible for course planning and instruction in classroom and/or laboratory settings. In addition, adjunct faculty are responsible for student evaluation, and timely and accurate submission of required paperwork related to instruction.
Minimum Requirements
* Master of Science degree in related field
* Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position
* Willingness to support the Catholic and Franciscan values of the university
Preferred Requirements
* Prior experience teaching biology courses
* Doctoral degree in related field
Hours/Shift/Work Schedule
The Human Biology course meets 3 hours a week for lecture and 2 hours a week for lab. There is some flexibility based on availability; courses could be taught during the day (preferred) or evenings. All class are face-to-face with online support, and laboratories include hands-on and inquiry-based components.
Physical Requirements of Position
Work is performed in classroom and laboratory settings with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards. Substantial time is spent working on a computer. This is sedentary work which requires the following physical activities: sitting, walking, bending, stooping, finger dexterity, repetitive motions, talking, hearing and visual acuity.
