Title:Bookkeeper (In-office) Location:Birmingham, AL Salary:$45-60k Job Summary Our client is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join their team. The Bookkeeper will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting functions for multiple clients. This includes maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and collaborating with internal CPAs and staff to ensure seamless client service. Key Responsibilities: Record day-to-day financial transactions using QuickBooks Reconcile bank and credit card statements Process accounts payable and receivable Maintain general ledgers and chart of accounts Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports Assist with payroll processing and reporting (as needed) Support CPAs with client tax preparation and financial reviews Maintain client confidentiality and adhere to firm policies and procedures Qualifications: 3+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience (preferably in a public accounting or multi-client environment) Proficiency in QuickBooks Online/Desktop. Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP) Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple clients and meet deadlines Strong communication skills and a client-service mindset Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred Certification such as QuickBooks ProAdvisor or Bookkeeping Certificate a plus Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
