Auria is seeking a Systems Engineer specializing in scheduler configuration and integration to support next-generation satellite ground systems. This role requires experience in developing and validating system interfaces, configuration scheduling services, and supporting demonstration/text events. The systems Engineer will contribute to the design, integration, and operations of mission planning and scheduling capabilities, ensuring tools and workflows are properly configured and interoperable within cloud-hosted ground system.
This is a remote position with a preference to be located in Colorado Springs, Co, or Huntsville, AL.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO DO:
- Configure and validate scheduling software and services to support satellite mission planning and resource management.
- Develop and maintain Interface Control Documents (ICDs) to ensure interoperability across system elements and with external stakeholders
- Collaborate with software teams and vendors to integrate scheduling services into cloud-hosted ground systems
- Add Python and Java to configure, extend, and automate scheduler workflows and integration tasks.
- Support system demonstrations, test events, and rehearsals, providing technical expertise for scheduler functionality.
- Contribute to requirements development, interface definitions, and validation of mission performance.
- Participate in Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMS) and cross-vendor working groups to ensure scheduler interoperability and compliance with government standards.
- Document architecture, interfaces, and processes in accordance with program standards.
- Identify and mitigate technical risks related to scheduling and mission planning functions.
WHAT THE TEAM REQUIRES:

- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
- Preferred 5+ years of experience in systems engineering for mission planning or scheduling software
- Proficiency in Python and Java for scheduler configuration, integration, and automation.
- Familiarity with ground system integration and operations concepts
- Strong understanding of interface development and ICD management.
- U.S. Citizen with ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
WHAT THE TEAM PREFERS:
- Familiarity satellite or space system mission planning and scheduling
- Familiarity with digital engineering and MBSE tools (e.g., Cameo, SysML)
- Experience supporting system demonstration, operational rehearsals, or customer test events.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control, and software collaboration tools (e.g., GitHub, GitLab, Jira)
- Strong communication skills and ability to work across multi-disciplinary teams.
PAY TRANSPARENCY: The salary offered will be based on the selected candidate's qualifications - skills, education & experience - and the position level. $130,000 - $180,000.
