The Burn Program Manager, in collaboration with the Burn Medical Director, is resonsible for the full-time management and oversight of the Burn Program. this role provides leadership in patient care, provider and community educaiton, injury prevention, program development, and regulatory compliance. The manager also oversees the Maryland Burn Registry, Burn Quality Management Program, and ensures alignment with state and national standards.

Responsibilities:




  • Provide clinical leadership as a subject matter expert in burn care, serving as leader, researcher, educator, advocate, and consultant.



  • Monitor burn patients' progress, develop standards of care, policies, and protocols, and ensure compliance with clinical and regulatory requirements.



  • Lead professional development initiatives, including compliance with American Burn Association (ABA) and MIEMSS educational standards.



  • Collaborate with leadership and staff on program goals, competencies, outreach, and injury prevention efforts.



  • Oversee the Burn Quality Management Program and Maryland Burn Registry, including data submission, analysis, reporting, and performance improvement initiatives.



  • Plan and facilitate burn-related conferences, committees, and educational programs.



  • Manage program budgets and shared oversight of trauma and burn clinical data abstraction.



  • Represent the program in internal and external committees, including the Maryland Burn Quality Improvement Committee.




Qualifications and Education:



  • Master's degree in nursing or related field. (for BSN, must be enrolled and complete MSN program within 5-years of hire)
  • 3-5 years of experience in Burn Program Management at a Level II or higher Trauma Center with an accredited burn center.
  • Experienced in Adult Burn Care
  • Strong critical thinking and clinical skills.
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Be able to figure out which processes works best and which do not and able to develop a new process.
  • Current Maryland RN license or multi-state license.

  • CPR (AHA, Red Cross, or Military Training Network)


  • Certified Burn Registered Nurse (CBRN)
  • Expertise in project and database management.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communicaiton, and interpersonal skills.

Salary Range: Minimum 51.22/hour - Maximum 79.39/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
