This position will support the operations of the RESTORE shared resource laboratory (SRL). RESTORE is a new facility advancing stem cell research and education, funded by the California Institute of Regenerative Medicine (CIRM). The SRL supports a wide array of investigators and research applications across multiple departments and schools at UC Merced as well as external partners. The candidate must have a customer service-oriented mentality and enjoy working with diverse projects and scientific model systems. The SRL contains high-end equipment and instruments for cell culture, flow cytometry and cell sorting, optical microscopy, histology, and whole animal imaging including IVIS, microCT, and PET. This position will support SRL operations through: Qualifications Basic qualifications
Master's degree (or equivalent degree) or five to ten years of experience demonstrating expertise in the relevant specialization. Lab experience working with fluorescence in cell lines and/or animal models. Preferred qualifications
Experience in animal model research, flow cytometry and cell sorting, multicolor fluorescence microscopy, mammalian cell culture. Application Requirements Document requirements
